Now some chick chat. The true power of this build is Skeleton Wariors' raw
physical damage multiplied by Might and Fanatism
auras. We would have a lot of +X To Summoning Skills we can also pump
Skeleton Mages and put several points into Revive
right? Wrong.
8. Mercenary/Hireling Notes [TOP]7.1 Revive [TOP]
Revives will be fighting for us only for 3 minutes, thats very short.
In most cases they deal less damage then Skeleton Wariors. The creature
that deals the highest damage on Hell
difficulty is Siege Beast(Demon Steed) and his damage is 134-211. Multiplied by bonuses from
Skeleton Mastery Revived
Siege Beast(Demon Steed) would deal damage comparable to Skeleton Warrior damage, but
all other creatures deals less damage
then that and only for 3 minutes. Using Revive is not wasting of
Skill points. It is waste of time. We will
deal a lot more damage using Corpse Explosion then creating new
and new Revives. Thats why we do not need them.
7.2 Raise Skeleton Mage [TOP]
Now Skeleton Mages disscision. There is hardly any info how much damage
they deal in the Skills tree.
Well most of their damage comes from Skeleton Mastery. Adding points
into Skeletal Mage will mostly increase
number of our mages. The secret to know what damage they
deal is to know what is their Relative Skill Level. It can be calculated with this formula:

Now lets do some homework. Comparrasion of 40/20 (Skeleton Mastery/Raise Skeleton Mage) and 40/40. 40/20:
RSL = 40 + [(20 - 2) / 2]
RSL = 40 + [18 / 2] RSL = 40 + 9 RSL = 49 40/40:
RSL = 40 + [(40 - 2) / 2]
RSL = 40 + [38 / 2] RSL = 40 + 19 RSL = 59 So the diffrence between maximazed and 1 point Skeleton Mage is only 10 Relative Skill Levels. That's only 50-100 damage diffrence so it's almost nothing for Hell difficulty monsters because they have 10 000 Hit Points and more. now you can see that incesting more then 1 point into Skeleton Mage is pointless.
Now lets take care of the summoner's most important skill. Each Skeleton Warrior attacks about 3 times
per 4 seconds so it is about 32 frames per attack. Now let me show you how much damage
Skeleton Warriors do powered by
Might and Fanatism.
The highest possible level of Skeleton Warrior is 57 with
highest possible level of Skeleton Mastery at 59, again with
bonus from the Skill Shrine. But with that high skills we are missing one of the paladin auras.
So the highest possible levels with two auras are 50/52 withiout Skill Shrine.
Now some stats of your little babies:
7.4 Corpse Explosion [TOP]
Corpse Explosion does 50% physical damage and
50% fire damage of the 60-100% corpse Hit Points.
Hell difficulty monsters has thousands of Hit Points thats why this skill is so powerful.
It is one of the most powerful skills in the game. Most people prefer to put only 1 point in it,
because more points only increase the radius of dealed damage. I was one of them for a long time.
I was thinking that way to the moment that I tried how it works maximized. If it has only 1 point
and is pumped a little with +X to All Skills or
+X to Necromancer Skill Levels it will only damage
nearby monsters of the selected corpse. But. If you have maximized and pumped
Corpse Explosion you will be killing with it monsters almost from the
whole screen. That is a big diffrence. Corpse Explosion will also blow away
all nearby archers and if you cast it on the edge of the screen it will kill away monsters easily.
7.5 Clay Golem [TOP]Remember that Amplify Damage will increase 50% physical damage of the Corpse Explosion to 100% physical damage and Decrepify to 75% physical damage. Lets compare level 1 to level 20 Corpse Explosion with +10 To All Skills.

Tasks of this golem are very simple. Slow any enemy that tries to hit him or any enemy that he wants to hit.
He slows everything. From archers, unique monsters to act bosses. His second task since he has tons of Hit
Points is to be tank and receive the most dangerous damage. You may be surprised but his third task is to die.
Yes to die. Instead of you, your mercenary and your minions. At the beginning and when you enter Hell
difficulty your character will be weak. So if you see a group of some archers or Black Souls, generally
ranged attackers cast Clay Golem near them. He will take all the damage
and propably die but then you cast him again there. Do that to the moment when your little army is close
enough to deal damage and fight the monsters. You may and sometimes should cast
Clay Golem when entering new room, hole etc. All monsters will focus on him
they will also be slowed and your minions can kill them easy. What he do not do and never will even
fully maximized and synergized is to deal damage. Other thing is that putting more then one point into
Clay Golem, Golem Mastery or
Summon Resist is pointless. with
+X To All Skills he will be pumped already.
7.6 Bone Armor [TOP]This build will have Clay Golem at this levels:
This is your Damage Reduction. Even if you choose Max Hit Points build you will be able to get a lot of damage
without touching your Hit Points. Fully synergized with Bone Wall and
Bone Prison with +X To All Skills
it will be able to absorb about 700-750 damage. It means that Lilith, Über Mephisto
or Über Izual (the monsters that deal the highest damage) can hit you once without touching
your Hit Points. You can also recast it fast and easily so you can take more hits.
7.7 Bone Prison [TOP]
This skill is maximized mostly to be a synergy to the Bone Armor
but in tough situations can be used to easily separate some monsters from battle. Maximized and
pumped from +X To All Skills it can absorb more then 4500 Hit
Points and costs only 1 Mana. It lasts only for 24 seconds, which is very short but you can and
propably will have to recast it.
7.8 Amplify Damage [TOP]Remember that morrowbug is not working since 1.11 Patch.
This is the most common curse that you will be using. Good for everything and everywhere.
Everybody knows that but i will say it again. Amplify Damage
reduces enemy physical resistance by -100% (he takes twice physical damage). Very good curse to
increase Corpse Explosion.
7.9 Decrepify [TOP]
It reduces monster's speed, damage and physical resistance by -50%. It means that that the monster
will be attacking 50% slower, deal only 50% of his physical damage and take 50% more physical damage.
This curse is very good against fast and dangerous monsters. Monsters powered by
Fanatism, unique or champion monsters and act bosses.
It is good idea to cast Amplify Damage which has big radius
on all monsters and then cast Decrepify on the most dangerous
monsters. You can also cast Decrepify to all monsters, that is not bad idea.
It just takes a little more time to cover all monsters. When your character is weak you will prefer this
curse in many situations instead of Amplify Damage but when you
become more powerful you would prefer to cast Amplify Damage.
Even on act boses to kill them faster. Increases Corpse Explosion physical damage.

You have three reasonable paths to follow. First - pump your minions as high as you can with
+X To All Skills and use only level 21+
Might aura from Act 2 Nightmare Offensive Desert Mercenary.
Second - sacrify +2 To All Skills,
+3 To Raise Skeleton,
+3 To Skeleton Mastery,
+3 To Corpse Explosion, some other bonuses and use two auras.
Level 17 Might aura from Last Wish Runeword in your hand
instead of wand with Level 12-15 Fanatism aura from Faith
Runeword on your Act 1 Normal Fire Rogue Scout. Third - similar to second, also two auras at the same time.
Level 21+ Might aura from Act 2 Nightmare Offensive Desert Mercenary
and Level 9 Fanatism aura from Beast Runeword in your hand
instead of wand. Lets compare damage and other stats from these three paths.

But Fanatism also increases Attack Ratting of you minions which means that they will hit monsters more often. I haven't found any info how many attacks per second a Skeleton Warrior do. It looks like they do 3 attacks per 4 second which means that they need 32 frames for one attack. I cant tell you what is the Fanatism influence on their attack speed. I wrote per 32 frames because that info is almost for sure. From my observations Fanatism do not affect Skeleton Warriors attach speed but you may use it to boost their Attack Ratting. Remember that Prevent Monster Heal does not work for Hirelings. +X To All Skills and Battle Command increases Hireling's Skills. 8.1 Act 1: Normal Fire Rogue Scout [TOP]
Why Fire instead of Cold? Well there are two reasons for that choise. First and more important
if you are using Cold Rogue most of her arrows will be cold arrows and that means that they
will chill monsters. If you kill such chilled monster it will broke info nothing without
leaving a corpse for minion or Corpse Explosion.
Second and less important reason is that Fire Rogue deals more fire damage then Cold Rogue.
Why from Normal difficulty? Because they have better stats and gain experience faster than Nightmare
or Hell ones. Now lets see some stats of that Hireling:

This Hireling has one disadvantage. She deals low damage over act bosses because she do not have Crushing Blow and even if she had it she would have to face the ranged penaulty which is to big to for Crushing Blow be useful.

To make this Mercenary more destructive you have to give him a lot of Crushing Blow. He will kill any enemy in notime. Faster weapons hit more often so you make better use of Crushing Blow.
